Orthosulfamuron belongs to the family of sulfonylurea herbicides. It is an inhibitor of acetolactate syntase (ALS),
therefore according to HRAC classification it is included in the group B. It is a systemic herbicide for the control of the main weeds in rice in post emergence. It is usually marketed as a Water Dispersible Granule (WG).
